Annual Compliance Check

Internal review cycle โ€” all records re-verified each year

UpNorth Marketplace conducts a full compliance review every 12 months to ensure all seller and company records remain accurate and up to date.

  • Each seller's business registration, CRA Business Number, and GST/HST status are re-verified annually.
  • Corporations Canada active-status is re-checked via the federal API for every registered corporation.
  • PIPEDA, Consumer Protection, and accurate-information acknowledgements are re-confirmed by each seller.
  • Tax filings (GST/HST, income, payroll) are confirmed current with the CRA.
  • Records found to be expired or out of compliance are flagged, the seller is notified, and service is paused until resolved.

The next scheduled annual review date is tracked on every compliance record and visible to administrators in the compliance dashboard.
