  • Profile & addresses: saved shipping addresses, phone number, and preferences.

  • Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

How We Share Your Information

  • Sellers: the seller of an item receives the information needed to fulfil your order (name, shipping address, order details).
  • Stripe: for secure payment processing under Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant environment.
  • Shipping carriers: Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx, UPS, or other carriers you choose, to deliver your order.
  • Service providers: hosting and infrastructure providers that help us run the Service.
  • Legal compliance: when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

We never sell your personal information.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and province, and understand how the Service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work properly.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card data is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's privacy policy and PCI-DSS security standards. UpNorth receives only a token confirming the charge.

Seller Information

Seller business details (business name, province, and public description) may be displayed on the seller's public store page. Sensitive information such as CRA business numbers is used only for verification and is not displayed publicly.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active, and as needed afterward to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.

Your Rights

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention).
